  • Overview

    The Project Engineer will assist with RFA’s IT Project implementation in order to achieving the strategic objectives of the Company. This role provides 3rd level support to all RFA Clients and RFA systems. Support areas include all Client and RFA computer infrastructure. In addition, this role is responsible for organizing highly complex activities for IT development, project coordination, implementation, and maintenance of technology project initiatives.


    • Responsible for implementation and administration of mid to large scale Projects
      • Lead RFA IT staff in technical analysis and problem solving activities related to systems development, implementation, integration, and infrastructure as they relate to Projects.
      • Setup servers, Active Directory, Exchange, and handle all phases of migrations and upgrades.
      • Configure and install backup solutions.
    • Manage RFA resources for assigned Project tasks.
      • Coordinate with internal resources to ensure efficient and timely completion of Projects.
    • Adjust resources as necessary to ensure Project success and completion.
    • Coordinate planning, development, testing, documentation, and installation of Project to ensure timely deliverables, Projects success and quality.
    • Responsible for closing out assigned Project tickets in ConnectWise
    • Conduct site surveys to evaluate scope of work required.
    • Handle Project related questions for Client during duration of assigned Project.
    • Work directly with construction\architects on site build outs including security, cabling and HVAC.
    • Work directly with vendors on third party server\software deployment and manage vendor relationships.
    • Work on new Project Plan design, and overhaul.
    • Attend Client meetings and gather requirements relating to new Client setups and relocations.
    • Act as the intermediary between construction and technology.
    • Represent RFA and the Client during construction meetings with architects, engineers etc.


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience.
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst, Project Management, or Information Technology role in a complex business and systems environment.
    • Experience managing complex technical development projects involving integration of multiple systems.
    • Good understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
    • Detailed understanding of construction and engineering, including electrical and HVAC.
    • Experience with the installation of low voltage and fiber optic cabling.
    • Must be comfortable working in and around construction sites.
    • Basic knowledge of telephone systems.
    • Broad knowledge of IT systems planning as relates to construction (networks, data rooms etc.)
    • Knowledge of ConnectWise system is a plus.

    • Effectively influences and guides others across various organizational structures using strong interpersonal skills
    • Able to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
    • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial

    • Able to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment including multi-level staff and external partners
    • Strong orientation toward high standards for customer service
    • The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product.
